Computer assisted implantology

This recent technique represents the maximum evolution in the field of dental implantology.

The dental doctor plans the operation of implant insertion on the computer based on the data acquired by Computerised Axial Tomography exams. With this system, one establishes exactly the position, the depth and the dimension of the implants before the surgical operation.

From the planning file a resin mask is created that is used in the mouth of the patient and allows the operator to insert the implants in the same position programmed on the computer. This system does not require incisions but only the execution of small holes of the same dimensions of the diameter of the implants to insert. The advantages are therefore:

  • perform the operation more rapidly,
  • the implants are inserted in the best way into the bone
  • a more rapid post-operatory healing and decisively less traumatic
  • the possibility of delivering within a few hours a temporary fixed aesthetic that allows patients to insert themselves rapidly into their own activity.
